Hello and welcome to the Laundimer House blog. This is my first blog and I feel like I'm really behind the times with technology and social media, I'm usually too busy getting ready for new guests to arrive but my mid- year resolution is to dedicate a bit more time to it.
What an incredibly turbulent and painful year for many people in hospitality (and the whole world!) There's some light at the end of the tunnel and thank goodness since reopening to leisure guests on the 14th May, bookings have started to increase.
So with that in mind I need to start thinking about what still needs to be done to each of my 4 rooms to bring them up to a high standard. I have been gradually refurbishing and improving facilities at the house for several years. Everything went on hold due to Coronavirus but now it's time to crack on with things again.
In the next few months I hope to have refurbished 'Wood View' bathroom, turning it into a luxury walk-in shower room and I have one other accommodation surprise that will hopefully be revealed by late November. Watch this space.
